Opening a New Business

1. If you plan on building a new business or remodel an existing building for your business, you must submit 4 sets of plans to the Planning Administrator.

2. Once approved you will be able to purchase a building permit to do construction. * Note: your contractor must be registered with the City of Kingsville

3. Then you will need the following inspections:
*If you do not plan on remodeling or constructing your own building, you will skip the first two steps and start with the following inspections.*
ü Plumbing Inspection........................$25
ü Electrical Inspection........................$25
ü Fire Inspection................................$40

· Once all inspections have been approved you will then be able to purchase a Certificate of Occupancy Permit for $25. You will then have one final inspection with our City Building Official.

ü Food License ü Beer / Liquor License
ü After Hours License
ü Amusement License
