🦟 The City of Kingsville Health Department Animal Control & Care Center is pleased to report that all mosquito samples sent to the Texas Department of State Health Services have now tested negative for any arborviruses.

👷 Crews conducted a spraying operation beginning September 20th when a mosquito trapped at 1800 N. Armstrong tested positive for West Nile Virus.

👖 We do recommend residents wear long sleeves and long pants if outdoors at dawn and dusk. You should also use a mosquito repellant that contains DEET.

💧 Remember to check your property for any standing water. Buckets, tires & bird feeders can facilitate mosquito breeding.

👉 Keeping your lawn maintained will also help curb mosquito breeding.
