🦠 We are continuing to see what appears to be an increase in the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

🧮 Forty-nine cases have been confirmed in our county through the state in the first 7 days of July. The Texas Department of State Health Services has a significant amount of data on cases in our region, but, remember, home tests may not be included in their count.

👩‍⚕️ Christus Spohn Kingsville is reporting an uptick in cases confirmed in the Emergency Room, most of these patients are able to recover at home. They are wearing masks in the facility once again.

🩹 We share this data to remind you that the CDC recommends healthy adults receive two doses and two boosters if they opted to take either Pfizer or Moderna. The Kleberg County Vaccine Clinic remains open and available to serve the public with FREE vaccines Monday through Friday.

📅 If it has been more than six months since your first booster, another booster is recommended.

🧪 Also, please note that FREE COVID-19 testing remains available for insured individuals at the City of Kingsville Health Department Animal Control & Care Center Monday through Friday. Non-insured individuals may test at this site for $100. You may schedule an appointment for testing outside their normal hours by calling (361) 522-6466. They will also service home-bound patients.
