Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday
7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

1st and 3rd Saturday
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Closed on all City Holidays

*After hours drop-off is available at Recycling Center.

It is our mission to provide the community a convenient and efficient method of diversion of renewable resources from the city landfill, the education of recycling to the public, and to continue the pursuit of meeting the goals of SB1340 by the State of Texas. Recycling Center collaborates with Sanitation Division and Landfill Division to collect City’s recycling.

Materials Accepted

  • Aluminum Cans & Scrap
    Foil, pie tins, and soda cans – Please flatten if possible. (If a magnet sticks, it is not aluminum
  • Bi-Metal, Steel, & Tin Cans
    Metal lids; soup, fruit, vegetable, & pet food cans, etc. – Please flatten if possible.
  • Corrugated Cardboard
    Corrugated Only – Please flatten or use a large box to hold smaller ones. Please remove Styrofoam.
  • Glass – NOT accepted at this time
  • Paper – Computer, mixed, & newspaper

Please separate magazines, mixed paper, and white office paper. Non-corrugated cardboard (cereal boxes, TP rolls)

NOT Acceptable: Carbon paper, overnight envelopes, or waxed boxes
NOT Acceptable: Wet or yellowed newspaper

Plastic
Look for #1 through #7 located on the bottom of the bottle.
Milk jugs, shampoo, soda, and misc. bottles – Please remove lids and caps.
NOT Acceptable: Oil and styrofoam bottles
Please rinse out all food containers.

If you have any old cell phones that you want to recycle, bring them to the Recycling Center. No accessories please, only the cell phone with the battery.

Document shredding is available by appointment. Please call the office. The cost is $0.15 per pound. Presentations and on/off-site tours for groups, organizations, and schools are available by appointment.

The Recycled Reading Room is open. Books are available to take, return, keep or share. Volunteers are always welcome. Please call the office and/or leave a message.
