This Division provides professional code enforcement services with the goal of enhancing the community appearance and ensuring the health, safety and welfare for all residents of Kingsville. This division provides both reactive and proactive code enforcement by performing Inspections, Nuisance Abatement and Programs to assist in neighborhood clean ups. These programs are designed to ensure compliance with the City’s Property Maintenance and Nuisance codes.

Activities
Community Appearance enforces code violations on private property, which focuses on the following categories:

  • Weeds and rank growth of vegetation
  • Trash, debris, rubbish or refuse
  • Dead or diseased trees
  • Parking of vehicles in the yard
  • Temporary and/or obsolete & unsafe signs

 

Chapters in the Code of Ordinances dealing with Community Appearance or Property Maintenance are Chapter 9.

 

 

The mission of the City of Kingsville Community Appearance Division is to initiate public and private development, promote safe and desirable living and working environment, and assist in the implementation of programs of general community beautification in the city.  Our goal is to enhance the visual quality and aesthetic character of Kingsville.
